How to Put On a Spectacular Afternoon on the Green

University of the Virgin Islands is pleased to host the Annual Afternoon on the Green. The event will take place on March 3rd, from 12:15 until 2pm at the Herman E. Moore golf course in St. Thomas. This year’s theme for Afternoon on the Green is “A A bursting of Culture Fun & Food during Afternoon” and it will include various entertainment options as well as other activities. This event is a renowned event that raises money for scholarships for students. The event also provides the chance for the local talents and the culture of the area to be acknowledged.

Kyza An. Calwood, Ph.D. serves as the Chair of the Event Planning Committee. She said “Let’s try to establish an example every year.” It’s a pleasure to be able to get together in person and we are looking forward to getting to know everyone on Sunday. Cool Session Brass will be playing on the main stage. They’re a popular favourite of all the different constituencies and are a symbol of Caribbean talents. Shaw HP from Love City (St. John) is also on the stage. Other entertainments include students from schools and dancers from all walks of life. This program can be redesigned.

We’re excited to announce the events planned for the opening Ceremony. The ceremony will start with a ceremony at p.m. and will be followed by remarks from UVI president David Hall. It is expected that the Ulla F. Muller Elementary School Phantastic Panthers Dance Team and the Cheer Team will be dancing at 3:30 p.m.; St. John Dancers will perform at 22:30 p.m.; Mungo Niles Cultural Dancers will be performing at 22:00 p.m. Shaw HP will perform at 5:45 p.m.; UVI Royalty and other special performances are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Cool Session brass begins at 7:15 p.m.

Happy Times Entertainment, the Reichhold Center and V.I. The Reichhold Center as well as Happy Times Entertainment and the V.I. have put in great efforts to ensure that visitors are entertained with a wide range of attractions and activities that are tailored to the interests of their guests. The huge dominoes are available as well as mini-golf, Face painting, bounce houses and yard games. There are Carnival headpieces demonstrations with Anthony Felix as well as Boy Scout tent building demonstrations. The V.I. Children’s Museum and the V.I. The Children’s Museum is also open to provide additional activities for youngsters from any age. Every year, there is a chance to surpass expectations and create extraordinary occasions.

Teens will be able to view interactive exhibits that showcase their favorite University of the Virgin Islands academic offerings at the Academic Tent. It will also feature experiments in science using bubbles. To enjoy a tasty buffet, foodies can put up their tables next to food tent. The second tent will offer cakes, sweet breads as well as other sweets baked by bakers from the local area. Don’t forget the drink tables in your neighborhood as well as the Chef’s Corner.

Afternoon on the Green will provide cooking demonstrations as well as the chance to cast your vote on your top food. Additionally, there will be an award for the top most votes and prizes for the first place in each of the categories: sides dishes, main meals such as fish, vegetable and soups, side dishes and breads, sweets, drinks, desserts, and prizes for three top cooks from the following categories. It is the Edd Thomas Volunteer Scholarship will be backed by the proceeds. The scholarship is open for Charlotte Amalie High School seniors as well as Ivanna High School seniors.
